Ukraine in the EU!

ABOUT US

Euromaidan-Warszaw is a civic initiative that was founded in 2013. Our goal is Ukraine's accession to the European Union!

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, we have changed the vector of our activities. Since February 24, 2022, we have been focusing all our work on what will bring Ukraine's victory closer as soon as possible. On advocacy and providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Thanks to the support of our donors, we have provided aid to Ukraine in the total amount of more than 100 million PLN! We will consider our mission to be completed when a free and sovereign Ukraine will join the European Union.

In our activities we focus on the development of 4 areas:

Real and multidimensional assistance to Ukraine

Public diplomacy and and advocacy for Ukraine

Countering disinformation and spreading russian propaganda

Integration and education of Ukrainians in Poland

Our team

Euromaidan-Warsaw was founded by a diverse and multicultural group of people. We come from different backgrounds, ethnicities, religious beliefs, political views, ages, and genders, but we are connected and united by a common mission — the European future of a free and sovereign Ukraine.

At Euromaidan-Warsaw, we work on a voluntary basis. Professionally, we are engaged in various fields — we are entrepreneurs, artists, journalists, producers, managers, as well as activists and parents. We dedicate all our free time to supporting Ukraine on its path to victory, freedom, and European integration. We believe the values we bring to our organization can be shared internationally.

Our foundation:

In 2022, after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Euromaidan-Warsaw civic initiative established the Stand with Ukraine Foundation, to provide humanitarian aid to the victims of the war and for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

What we do?

euromaidam-big-logo

We have been supporting Ukraine since 2014. We are one of the few organizations supporting not only Ukrainian civilians, but also the Ukrainian military. We are not afraid to say directly that Ukraine needs military support. We are pacifists and will never support wars. However, we know that in the current situation, weapons and a professionally equipped military can bring peace to Ukraine.

We are constantly collecting funds to support Ukraine – you can find them here: support the Armed Forces of Ukraine

  1. support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
  2. support Advocacy for Ukraine

Since the beginning of Euromaidan-Warsaw we have cared about the integration of Ukrainians in Poland. We organize cultural and social events aimed at uniting and integrating Poles and Ukrainians. These events include debates, lectures, film screenings and book launches. We pay attention to the promotion of Ukrainian culture in Poland and Polish culture in Ukraine.

Since the first days of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, we have been organizing multidimensional help for Ukrainian refugees:

  • We have created a website through which more than 20,000 refugees have benefited from free transportation and accommodation in Poland.
  • We organize free Polish language courses and integration classes for children and youth.
  • We provide psychological support for people who have experienced war.

In 2014-2016 we also ran Ukrainian World – a center for Ukrainians, in the current reality we dream very much of re-launching such a center – to do it we need your financial support!

  • Euromaidan-Warsaw prefers action to words. Since the beginning of our activity we have organized more than 700 public actions, events, demonstrations, social and information campaigns.

    • We mobilize communities and take to the streets together to put pressure on decision-makers who share responsibility for the war in Ukraine.
    • We are not afraid to point the finger at those whose actions support Russia and enable it to continue its military aggression against Ukraine.
    • We organize signature campaigns for petitions and letters of solidarity.
    • We verify information that appears about Ukraine and the war in Ukraine, making sure that fake news does not spread in the media.
    • We care about the truth, which is why we conduct information campaigns aimed at dispelling fake news and conveying the truth about the Russian invasion and Ukraine’s bravery.
    • We appeal to international decision-makers to provide Ukraine with professional military equipment and to US President Joe Biden to provide Ukraine with F-16 aircraft.
We have managed to organize blockades on the Russian border and to completely stop trade from Russia and Belarus to the European Union. (the EU’s fifth package of sanctions related to the war in Ukraine).
  • Thanks to our work, Russia has been recognized as a terrorist state by the European Parliament and individual EU member states.
  • We organize briefings with politicians to explain the situation in Ukraine and the level of support needed.
  •

We understand the consequences of disinformation campaigns. That is why we analyze all disinformation activities and organize appropriate countermeasures.

We monitor Russian propaganda, analyze and report on it, and then organize campaigns to refute and counter the propaganda. An example of such activities is our campaign

“Ukrainians thank Poles for support”

We are also running the information campaign „Poland without the Myth”, aimed at countering Russian disinformation.

We have also created a channel called People of War, where we communicate with people who have experience with the ongoing war in Ukraine. We give them space and spread their voices, knowing that their testimonies are the most important evidence of Russian crimes.

Why are we effective?

We represent Ukrainians – we are politically independent. We do not allow anyone to influence our actions or hide the truth about the war in Ukraine.

What was on our to-do list six months ago has become a reality today.

We are in constant contact with the Ukrainian embassy, ministries and government agencies. Thanks to our cooperation, we know everything about the current needs and situation in Ukraine.

We are financially independent – we do not accept grants or funding from unethical sources. We exist mainly because of individual donations from people like You. We need your support to continue our work!

Thanks to our extensive network of contacts in Poland and Ukraine, we are on the ground and know first-hand what kind of help Ukraine needs and how to provide it most effectively.

Our main achievements:

Our mission is to support Ukraine on its way to joining the European Union. To this end, we organized numerous demonstrations and meetings with politicians to demonstrate Ukraine’s readiness to join the EU, held anti-corruption events in Ukraine, and collected signatures for petitions. Our actions contributed to this important step for Ukraine.

Achieved by blocking trucks on the Polish-Belarusian border. Officially introduced as the 3rd point of the 5th package of EU sanctions against Russia.

As a result of our meetings with stakeholders, our actions and public pressure, the Russian oil embargo has been included in the 6th package of sanctions against Russia by the EU.

This was achieved through a global information campaign, street actions, and constant pressure on world politicians through the media and the public.

In November 2022, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the European Parliament officially recognized the Russian state as a sponsor of terrorism.

From February 24, 2022, we have procured and delivered over 1 billion UAH worth of aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and continue to do so.

We have organized dozens of events, information campaigns and meetings to help Ukraine get the weapons it needs from the West. We managed to convince decision-makers that in the current situation the only way to peace in the world is Ukraine’s victory, and this is possible only if Ukraine is constantly supported, including militarily.

Furthermore, we have won Leopards and MIGs, and we have succeeded in ensuring that Ukraine will receive F-16 fighter jets.

The first 50 billion dollars from the profits generated by frozen assets of the Russian Central Bank in the EU and the USA will begin to be transferred to Ukraine as early as 2025.
These funds will be allocated to support the army and rebuild the country.

This historic decision was made possible thanks to international pressure and solidarity with Ukraine.
