WE DEMAND A FULL EMBARGO ON RUSSIAN AND BELARUSIAN PRODUCTS IN THE EU!

In recent weeks, emotions have run high in Poland and Ukraine over the grain issue. However, few realize that the main player here is Russia. Despite the war and sanctions, the European Union has consistently INCREASED imports of food from russia — in 2023 alone, Russian agri-food exports worth over €2.6 billion entered the EU! Poland spent over 125 million PLN EVERY MONTH, which funded Moscow’s treasury. Russian criminals earn tens of billions of dollars each year from the sale of agri-food products, accounting for as much as 10% of the russian federation’s income.

At the same time, Putin pursues an effective dumping policy by flooding the global market with cheap grain, including grain stolen from Ukraine. This causes falling prices, excessive supply, and surpluses of agri-food products both in Poland and across the EU (currently the EU grain surplus is 36 million tons!). Pro-Russian propagandists and Kremlin agents exploit tensions related to the grain crisis to fuel anti-Ukrainian and pro-Russian sentiments.

This is the last moment to stop the import of agri-food products from Russia and Belarus, which is often used as a transit country where “made in Russia” labels are removed. Seeing the harm to Polish and Ukrainian farmers, it is high time for the European Commission and the Polish government to act and introduce a full embargo on russian and Belarusian products!!!

The crisis situation particularly affects companies trading between Ukraine and Poland, as well as Polish producers operating in Ukraine. Polish companies have lost 100 million PLN in just two weeks of the blockade.

Let us remember that emotions, lack of mutual understanding, political conflict, and unwillingness to find solutions do not strengthen us. They only strengthen Putin, whose interest lies in polarizing actions around the grain issue.

Let’s act together to stop russian criminals as soon as possible and end this war as quickly as possible!
